Marco Wallace was born in Milan in 1975.
He has always been very passionate about drawing and in 1994 after finishing his studying in Advertising Graphics he left for the compulsory military service. Here seeing the tattoo of his fellow soldiers he is overwhelmed by the desire to have his first tattoo.
Fascinated by this practice, he developed the idea of ​​drawing on skin permanently and after having spent 6 months to find and buy a tattoo machine (at the time the internet was practically non-existent and with it most of the tattoo supplies ) in 1995 he began to tattoo on friends as a autodidact.
In those years it was very difficult to do a good apprenticeship as the tattoo studios were very few compared to today and there was not so much request ; those who started tattooing did it only out of their own passion.
From 2004 to 2009 he worked in some Italian studios such as: Pittan Tattoo (MI), Primordial Pain (MI), Vertigo (TN), Adrenaline (Follonica, GR), where he collaborates with many internationally renowned tattoo artists who teach him the technique of this difficult art.
Right from the start, he prefers tribal tattoos even if he keeps performing any job he is asked for without reservation.
Since 2007 he decides to devote all his energies only to the traditional tribal styles that have always fascinated him, especially the Polynesian ones and those of the Marquesas islands.
Thus in addition to tattoo in Italy, to enrich his knowledge on the symbolism of tribal tattoos and the culture of these peoples, began to reach distant destinations.
The most important journeys made by him are those in Africa, Australia, Fiji, Samoa Islands, Malaysia, New Zealand and French Polynesia where in the latter, given the vastness of islands and different styles of tattooing goes every year for its continued research on the meaning of the symbols of working with local people, tattoo artists, sculptors and craftsmen.
In addition, each year he participates at international conventions in which, besides dealing with tattoo artists from around the world, has the opportunity to meet people who want tattoos from him but that does not have the opportunity to come to Milan.
Tra le più importanti alle quali ha partecipato: Auckland, Barcellona, Firenze, God’s of Ink, Helsinki, Londra, Long beach, Milano, Roma, Samoa, Sacramento e Tahiti.
Devoted to the tattoo and eager to continue to improve and refine his work, currently working as a tribal “Milano City Ink” and a few days a month working with the “Vertigo tattoo studio” of Trento.
From July 2012 opens in Milan the "Wallace Tattoo Studio".
A private studio where he welcomes and tattoos fans of tribal tattoos from all over Italy and abroad.
From 2014 to 2019 he collaborates with the “Seven Seas Tattoo Studio” in Eindhoven (NL) tattooing in close contact with Jeroen Franken.
To this day he continues to cultivate his great passion for tattooing by hosting tribalists and professional tattoo artists also specialized in other styles to offer maximum quality to the different needs of the studio's clients.
